Sail drama on current background
Rike is home emergency doctor. A woman used to deciding what to do. Now she is on her sailing ship and in the Atlantic - not far from Gibraltar she crosses a little further south of Africa's coast. After a storm, she finds herself near a fishing boat - with hundreds of people on it! Rike connects to the Coast Guard. But the people there just tell her: keep going! Do not get involved!

But Rike can not do that. To look away. Act as if nothing were wrong. The problem "sit out" until it - in a few days - "by itself" dissolves. On the other hand, of course, it is clear that her own boat is much too small. Rike, what now?

Director Wolfgang Fischer and author Ika Künzel have written the screenplay, which is soaked in seawater, and whose realization Susanne Wolff carries on her shoulders in an incredible one-woman performance. Now one comes over to her ship, a boy of maybe 14 years ...

Segel-Drama vor aktuellem Hintergrund
Rike ist zu Hause Notärztin. Eine Frau, die gewohnt ist zu entscheiden, was zu tun ist. Jetzt ist sie auf ihrem Segelschiff und im Atlantik – nicht weit von Gibraltar kreuzt sie etwas weiter südlich vor Afrikas Küste. Nach einem Sturm findet sie sich in der Nähe eines Fischkutters wieder – mit hunderten von Menschen drauf! Rike stellt Verbindung zur Küstenwache her. Doch die Leute dort sagen ihr nur: Fahren sie weiter! Mischen Sie sich nicht ein!

Aber das kann Rike nicht. Wegschauen. So tun als ob nichts wär’. Das Problem „aussitzen“ bis es sich – in ein paar Tagen – „von selbst“ löst. Andererseits ist natürlich klar, dass ihr eigenes Boot viel zu klein ist. Rike, was nun?

Regisseur Wolfgang Fischer und Autorin Ika Künzel haben das – mit viel Seewasser getränkte – Drehbuch geschrieben, dessen Realisierung Susanne Wolff in einer unglaublichen One-Woman-Performance ganz auf ihren Schultern trägt. Jetzt kommt einer zu ihrem Schiff rübergeschwommen, ein Junge von vielleicht 14 Jahren…
