I work for an American company but am currently living and working here in hamburg for one of our affiliates. I have also been moved within the company to be under the local location of our company in Germany. I am granted 15 days by my expat policy for vacation or the minimum as per the law requires in the host country.
The vacation policy here in germany is as follows:
4 weeks Protected content days, i.e. Mo to Sa, even if the working week is Mo to Fri), plus 9 to 13 bank holidays
I only work Monday to Friday, so would I be entitled by law to have 20 days of vacation in total for the year?
Any help in this matter or advisement is much appreciated.
