In Hamburg till N.Y.'s eve

Dear friends,

I am travelling to Hamburg this Saturday for two weeks till next year, even though likely i will be in Berlin part of the time, I was wondering if someone can tell me how i can get any accomodation such as a Residence at the university or something similar, and what interesting things are possible to do in Hamburgo those days.

And of course, I would be very grateful to know locals who would like to show me the city.
