International School Hamburg

Hello All,

I am contemplating accepting a position at the ISH starting in August. I was wondering what the outside perspective or reputation of the school is; the school as a whole and of the children that attend. Also, if I was to live there, where would you recommend for a 27 year old who enjoys green space, but also an ability to walk or commute quickly to work? I'm trying to decide budget wise where would even be wise to look. Some things I appreciate are old houses with character, live music, small and homey cafes, a pub I can get to know the bartender if I please, don't mind dive bars or neighborhoods that are a little bit quiet, but up and coming. I know I just described a lot of things that may not match....but any thoughts or opinions anyone had would be great! Thanks so much!
