Dear members of the Hamburg forum,

With this email I’d like to invite you to participate in an international research project on Repatriate Knowledge Transfer run in collaboration with researchers from 7 leading universities worldwide. Little research has been done in this field and the process through which returning expatriates can share their valuable knowledge with their organisation is not very well understood.

Based on our previous qualitative work, we have developed a measurement instrument (questionnaire) that intends to measure Repatriate Knowledge Transfer. This is the link to the online questionnaire which should not take more than 30 minutes to complete:

If you have repatriated to your home organization in the last 5 years, please, take a few minutes and fill out our survey. The reentry experience you went through is absolutely invaluable to our project! We would be very grateful if you also could forward this survey to repatriates you might know. Their contribution will help to better understand the process of Repatriate Knowledge Transfer and advance the opportunities companies will have in actually measuring the knowledge the repatriates have gained during their international assignment. In turn, this should lead to a more rewarding experience for repatriates. Please follow this link to the university website for more information (we are in phase two now): Protected content

Of course, we will be also willing to share the results of our work with all the interested individuals.
Thank you so much for your support and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!

Best regards,
Anne Burmeister
