How to transfer wage US$ from Vietnam to Canada? (Hanoi)

Hello,

Would anybody be able to share how to transfer wage earned (in US$) in Vietnam to Canada? Is it easy? Would it help if I open an account with HSBC in Toronto before going to Hanoi?
My boss said it is most natural to work with ANZ first in Hanoi. I myself am trying to ask around to get more ideas as well.
Your first hand knowledge would be the most helpful and greatly appreciated.
