Day to Day life (Harare)

I know that I keep posting comments about going to Zimbabwe, it's only that I need to make sure that I am doing the right thing. No matter what you read it seems that the comments where everyone says its a great place either live there or are long term expats. Both these people will say a country is great. What about the contractor who comes over. I need to know simple things. Such as how easy is it to get money from an out of country bank, because I do not plan to open a bank account, not just yet. How easy is it to buy things, can you use a visa card in shops or do I have to go a bank to get money. It's all this little things that I need to know. I am open minded and I have travelled quite a bit but I like the facts first before I make any move to any country.
