Cost of living question (Heidelberg)

Hi fellow members of the community,

I have a question regarding the average cost of living around the Baden-Wurttemberg county?

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but I will be the only person working in a family of 2 (myself and my spouse).

Along what lines would a net income need to be to support a mid-thirties couple considering having a company car?

I have searched for 3 bedroom appartments around Heidelberg and the rent including the "nebencosten" is around the Protected content mark. Again this is by looking at some reasonable places and nothing over the top.

Any guidance in understanding what wages could support a couple when once person is working would be highly appreciated.
