Places,Work, Sport, Nightlife,Learning Finnish (Helsinki)

I have just moved over from ireland and i am currently looking for work.. I am a qualified chef. I have also got experience in Bar tending, Construction, Warehouse unloading. Wondering where are the best places to apply?
Any exciting places around helsinki that will be good to visit? How is the nightlife in helsinki and surrounding areas? I have played a lot of sports and very keen to keep playing some, i.e. soccer, rugby, aussie rules..
Also is there any volunteer groups around that i may join!? I was part of a team that helped people with disablities with sport and leisure..
