Advice for Moving to Can Tho (Ho Chi Minh City)

Hello everyone,

I'm new to InterNations and the expat scene, and I was hoping you could provide some advice. I'll be moving to Can Tho next month to work as a volunteer English teacher for a year. I'm trying to figure out what exactly to pack for a year in a tropical city, and was wondering if you had any advice. What should I absolutely remember to bring, or leave at home? Any important items I can't get in Vietnam, or more specifically, Can Tho?
