eternal Q's on relocating (to HCMC) (Ho Chi Minh City)

Hi there, I have in mind to move from Dubai to HCMC and struggle to find expats opinion on pets and cars. Any advise on pets is extremelly valuable as we don't want to move without our Oscar. I found scarce info on owning a car and none on shipping / import a car in Vietnam.
Another subject would be... school; had found ISHCMC, AIS and ACG for my (to be) 7 grade son. Did the browsing but anyone who want to give us an advise we'll welcome bit time.
