Hairdresser and Vets (Ho Chi Minh City)

Hi,
I have been in HCMC for 3 weeks now, and I will soon need to find a hairdresser. I am looking for somewhere that will not give me a scary cut & highlights (which I have experienced in Hungary!) I live in district 5, but anywhere near would do.
We have also brought our dog with us (I know this horrifies some people!) so would appreciate any recommendations for vets.
Hope someone can help, any other tips would also be appreciated.
