Living in Hanoi or HCMC (Ho Chi Minh City)

Hello,

I am looking to relocate to Vietnam in the next few weeks. I am looking at jobs in both HCMC and Hanoi. I am wondering if anyone has advice on which place would be preferable to live, or what are the pros and cons/comparisons between the two.

I am torn because I like going out, enjoying the nightlife, meeting other foreigners, but I also want to have access to little weekend trips and getaways in nature, the culture, and bits and pieces of the untouched aspects of Vietnam.

Any insight would be helpful!
