Need advices (Ho Chi Minh City)

Hi,

I arrived in Ho Chi Minh from Switzerland two days ago to do an internship in Choray Hospital as a nurse for 6 weeks.
I'm actually staying in a family temporaly in Tan Binh district.
It's always hard to discover a new country and city alone, so i would like to know if you have any advices for me to know some people here, to discover the city and eventually to have tips for a room closer to the hospital?
