Tips for HCMC (Ho Chi Minh City)

Dear all,
Will be arriving in HCMC tomorrow from Shanghai for a week of vacations!
May I ask for some tips on what to do, see, eat? We also would like to go to the beach for the weekend (not too far from HCMC city though) do you have any place to recommend?
Also if you are free during the week for a drink or else would love to meet some internations people in HCMC!
