Visiting Vietnam - HCMC & its vicinity (Ho Chi Minh City)

Greetings to InterNations HCMC community!

I'm Heather, currently living in Hamburg, Germany, and I'll be visiting Vietnam from April 28 to May 3. It'll be my first time there, and I'm planning to stay in Saigon, and visit the vicinity of HCMC, i.e., Vung Tau, Ho Tram, and Mui Ne.

At the moment, my plan is to do a Mekong river tour in Saigon, and visit the Ho Tram beach, and the Christ of Vung Tau. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

I'm a huge foodie, so if anyone has recommendations on which restaurants or shops to check out in HCMC, and the vicinities I have mentioned, I would greatly appreciate.

Additionally, if there are any interesting local products to shop for, i.e, Vietnamese Coffee for sure is on my shopping list, please let me know.

Lastly, I'll keep an eye on the IN activities in HCMC during the week I'll be visiting, but would love to meet some of you in person to get some insights!
