Low strings collide as the Red Cello Quartet rocks out to The Beatles, Lady Gaga, Leonard Cohen, The White Stripes and other pop crowd-pleasers in a four-cello ensemble. The all- cello renditions of big bass beats and electric guitars bring a new attitude to a classical instrument. In a romantic twist, two cellos, a viola and a violin shine light on a rare classical gem, Arensky’s String Quartet in A Minor. Cello Pop’s international cast features members of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, the SAR Orchestra, the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra and other groups.
