finding a place to live in HK (Hong Kong)

I'll be moving to Hong Kong in August and need to find a place to live. I'd like a place that is a one-two bedroom, modern apartment in an area with lots of expats, coffee shops, cafes, etc. I have been told Wan Chai is a good location for that, but I do have a tight budget. I can only spend 9. Protected content HKD. I have no idea how to even begin looking for a decent place when I am not there. Any advice? Thanks!
