Legal advice needed: Detained at workplace (Hong Kong)

Hi, due to a faulty fingerprint security system, I have been able to enter but not exit my workplace using my fingerprint. I have tried contacting the manager of the system to rectify but the problem persists. Till now I have been able to simply sign out manually by filling in a sign out form.

However tonight the security personnel said cannot leave the workplace because I have not fixed that technical problem. I would like to know if the security personnel has a right to deny me egress from my workplace against my will. Thanks!
