Moving to HK with a PET- from Mexico (Hong Kong)

Hi there!!
My husband and I are moving to Hong Kong in a couple of months but we would like to do it with our dog. Do you know the immigration procedures for dogs? I have been reading some pages and Im afraid they place in quarantine to our dog. If you have done this procedure before could you tell me how was it?
