Vacation in Hong Kong

Hello Folks,
I'm planning to spend my vacation in Hong Kong, which would be in July/August, to be honest i know nothing about the place other than the fact that it does not require a VISA to enter, i know that's a lame reason to pick a place but yea, i was a bit late in planning my trip.
I do realize that there are similar posts, but, i would really be grateful if anyone passes tips on how to spend a 10 day vacation there, good places to stay, and any gyms that would accept day-uses.
Also it would be really nice if any of you folks who know the country well would like to meet up there.
That's pretty much it.
