Book Signing & Film at MFAH on Jan 13 - Sunday (Houston)

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH) is hosting a book signing for Nick Flynn's memoir: The Reenactments. The book was also made into a film, so the session will include a behind-the-scenes look of the film production.

Neuroscientist and New York Times bestselling author, David Eagleman, will also be on hand to provide insights.

Flynn's memoir consists of personal experience with suicide and homelessness. . . HEAVY subjects. I'm not so much interested in these as much as on Eagleman's theory on TIME PERCEPTION and how the brain navigates through life and space with time. For parents with autistic children or professionals who work with autism, he has also defined and developed a test for SYNESTHESIA - a characteristic found with autism that may facilitate one's understanding of the condition.

And it looks like admission to the museum is part of the deal. . .good for relaxation.

Enjoy!
