CONROE, Texas (AP) — Montgomery County authorities say a 68-year-old man is in custody and charged with four counts of intoxication manslaughter after his car was involved in a three-vehicle crash that left four people dead.
Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack says three other people were hurt in the crash Sunday afternoon on Texas Highway Protected content west of Conroe, about 35 miles north of Houston. Two were treated at a hospital and released. The third was jailed.
Authorities say all four fatalities — two adults and two children — were in one of the cars and had been properly secured. Their names were not immediately released.
