Moving to Houston in July/August

Hey guys.

I am relocating to Houston from Sydney Australia through an internal transfer.

For those who have already been through the relocation I would appreciate your hints and tips to avoid me having to "learn the hard way".

Initially I am wanting to ask about recommended bank accounts/credit facilities that have affiliations with Australian Banking Institutions. I have been told HSBC is a good option however can't seem to location a local branch for HSBC in Houston.

I will need to buy a car on arrival - any recommendations on the best dealerships for used cars.
