Must dos, Events, sights in Houston

Hi there
I am coming to Houston on business for an extended period of time. I was wondering if anyone might have some advice as to what I should not miss, an event or place I should see, or just general suggestions while visiting the Houston area. I am very grateful in advance for any information, etc. Is there a Houston InterNations event planned? Thank you!
