New to Houston

Hi,
Well after reading some of the queries on this site I should have joined before I arrived in Houston. My family and I moved here nearly 4 months ago and really found everything out the hard way. We have all kinda of settled now I was just looking for any information on securing a job here. I am a stay at home mom at the moment but would like to get back in the workforce as I am stuck at home all day. I have a visa to work but am finding applying for jobs really hard as I dont have a credit history in the US. I have decided to just send my CV to all agencies in the Yellow pages in the hope that I get something. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them, Ideally I would love a job that would work around my kids as they are still finding their feet at the moment, however I know I cant have my cake and eat it. Any suggestions, help, advice will be greatly appreciated.
