TV & Internet Recommendations (Houston)

Hello Everyone,

So I just moved here from Australia in the last week and am slowly setting up life.

I need to sort out my tv and internet and the apartment building im moving into told me they can do both Comcast and Uverse.

Ive been googling about the two but are there any recommendations that people have?

There are a hell of a lot of channels in both but the plans seem a bit convoluted!!

Any help is welcome.
