If you fancy yourself as a foodie in these parts, you’re bound to have visited or heard of Mikla at some point.

Its Finnish-Turk chef-owner Mehmet Gurs is credited by almost everyone in the business as having elevated the level of dining in this city to “haute”, not only for the height of culinary artistry it has achieved – referred to as Scandinavian- Turkish Fusion -but because of its location. The restaurant is situated high up there in the top floor of Marmara Pera Hotel where it commands an incomparable “magic carpet” view of the city and beyond.
