Arts & Crafts - where would the locals buy from? (Istanbul)

HI everyone,
I'm pretty new here, so I was wondering if you can recommend a place where I can buy arty gifts, even souvenirs or any kind of creative arts and crafts? I've been to Istikal, there are nice things but it is very touristic and I'd rather go to a place where the locals would buy from.

Have you stumbled upon some kind of place (a bazaar or even an online shop, why not?) where you can buy nice handmade gifts - typical turkish things but not only.
I would love to buy from young artists just starting their career or little boutique gift shops of people that have turned their hobbies into business :)
