Bahcesehir (Istanbul)

I am new in town, just arrived from Miami, FL. I teach full time at an elementary school by Alkent2000. I am far away from the center of the city. There is not much to do here (especially without a car) and need help finding friends that live close by that can just hang out. I go into the city on weekends, just getting tired of being alone weekdays stuck in this suburban area:( Help!
