Cheap cell phones in Istanbul

Does anyone know where I can get a cheap Turkish phone so that I don't have to go through registering my foreign phone in Turkey? I live in Kadikoy and really just need a phone for calling and texting so a used phone is fine but I'm not sure if I can trust the people that sell phones on the streets?
