Yapı-Tek Steel serves customers within the metalworking, automotive, construction, aerospace, defense, agricultural, mining, oil and gas, railroad and heavy machinery industries in Europe, the Middle East and North America.
•Report Directly to the General Manager
•Lead a team of Business Development Specialists which are responsible for supporting the current customers, achieving new sales, marketing, and researching and realizing new business opportunities.
•Works with other departments (Production, Planning, Finance, Purchasing, etc.) to ensure cross-department collaboration is optimized.
•Maintains a thorough understanding of all customer accounts to ensure sales staff is managing their needs adequately
•Drives & demands the use of the “Value Based Selling Approach” from the team.
•Drives & demands maintaining records of all communications between the customers and the company.
•Engages in High-Level Sales Activities, including in foreign markets
•Motivates the team to maintain a high level of enthusiasm and performance. Sets objectives for the team, monitors performance and provides feedback.
•Actively involved in networking to build networks to improve Yapi-Tek Steel’s visibility.
•Develop and maintain an effective internal global network of technical and commercial professionals in your field.
• Active participation in many meetings, and leading meetings by preparing ahead of time with reports and data.
•B.S. Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering or other engineering or related science discipline and/or a MBA Degree from a reputable university.
•Commercial Focus – recognizes that the primary purpose of Business Development is to drive and promote capturing profitable commercial agreements. Clearly and effectively imparts this message to the corresponding teams.
•Demonstrates business acumen in supporting profitable commercial agreements.
•Ability to develop strong sustainable relationships with both internal and external customers.
•Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and business units.
•Ability to interact comfortably with various levels of management in customer meetings (such as Vice Presidents, Plant Managers, Engineers, Superintendents and operators).
•Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Effective communicator.
•Minimum 4 years related experience.
•Knowledgeable of and in compliance with ISO TS Protected content .
•Ensures that all of the training requirements for direct reports are met, up to date, and documented.
•Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
•Managing all Marketing activities for the company (including participation in conferences, online and conventional advertising campaigns, SEO, PR, the company website, new brochure development, etc.)
•Must be fluent in Turkish and English.
