End of Turkish contract conditions for a foreigner (Istanbul)

I may have my Turkish contract ended soon, I have a work permit in Turkey since 1 year (renewed now) and was wondering how is the rule for foreigners? DO we get any help from state after being fired for example? HOw many days/months notice do we have, etc..
