European SIde or Asian Side? (Istanbul)

Hey Guys,

I just got back from visiting Istanbul and absolutely loved it! Im thinking of moving from the US to Istanbul for a year or so...

My friend (whom i stayed with in Istanbul) lived on the asian side (by kozyatagi) and i found that i gravitated to the European side as i found it more lively with alot more night life...

Are there any downsides to living on the European side vs the asian side?
