I want to quit job. But I'm on a work permit. Help (Istanbul)

Hi Everyone,

I'm in a difficult situation. I desperately want to quit my job (native teacher at a high school) Problem is, I am on a work permit.

Does anyone have any recent experience quitting their job and successfully obtaining a residence permit? I need recent experience with this because I know laws have changed. I've been living in Turkey for 3 years, and had a residence permit until Protected content .

The work permit has cancelled this out unfortunately.

I really want to know if anyone found themselves in similar situation and was able to resolve it.

Going back to the states is not an option, I have to stay in Turkey.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
