Import tax on used camera (Istanbul)

I am about to arrange for a secondhand camera to be posted from the UK to Istanbul and wondered what the tax procedure is and how the cost is likely to be determined.
Is it based on the value of the camera and if so how is that value assessed if its not coming direct from a shop?
Any advice gratefully received thank you
