internet - cable vs adsl (Istanbul)

I've been in Istanbul for a nr of years, and have had many problems with ADSL internet from TTNet... now I've heard that a much cheaper alternative with similar speed is through the cable network. Apparently it's dependable and I hear it's much cheaper (7 TL vs 29 TL p.mth for ADSL). Does anyone know a bit more about this?
