Nanny/househelp (Istanbul)

Dear All, we are looking for a mature, reliable nanny/househelp for two days per week plus babysitting in the evenings/weekends on a need by need basis. We are likely to be living on the European Side (Etiler, Arnavutkoy, Levent etc), so it would be great if the person was also living nearby.

We were thinking of a Turkish person (preferably with some basic English language skills since our Turkish is still not good enough). But then people appear to recommend Filipina nannys for various reasons (e.g. attitude, willigness to work as both cleaner and nanny, language, etc).

I have the following questions:

- What is your view on Turkish vs Filipina nanny/help?
- what do you think how much would be reasonable to pay per hour/month?
- Are you leaving Istanbul soon and and can you recommend your nanny?

From June Protected content , we are also looking for a 4 bedroom house/flat in the above mentioned areas (max Protected content incl expenses). Please let me know if you know of anything.
