NEW YEARS EVE (Istanbul)

I was thinking about trying to organize some kind of a New Years Eve get-together, either at a restaurant, a club, or if someone has a big enough house and would be willing to host something like this, but before starting the research into it, I was wondering if people would be around and interested in attending such an event. Let me know your thoughts. In America NYE is a great time to party and bury the old and prepare for the new, wonderful things that await us in the coming year. We like to spend it with friend, but I don't know if it's that big here. Please educate me about New Years Eve in Istanbul and if you would be interested in spending it together.
