Public school recommendations in Istanbul, PLEASE?

Dear friends,
We are new to Istanbul and will be here for one year. We have a 7-year old that we would like to send to public schools -- she will be in second grade according to the US system. Can anyone recommend a school with a positive rating? We would like her to learn Turkish. Hence we don't need private/English schools. We can also move to be near a good school.
