Recommendations on places to visit in Istanbul?

Good morning/evening, fellow expats!

I am planning to visit Istanbul for the first time on a short three day stay from November 2nd to 5th of November.

I have a lot in mind during this short stay, since I enjoy sightseeing very much, as well as exploring different cultural aspects in the city.

Therefore, I was wondering If you could recommend me the best places to visit, and the best area to book a hotel in.
