Residency Permit Questions - Help! (Istanbul)

Hi!

My partner and I are relocating to Istanbul in a month. I have read lots of wonderful detailed instructions about the process and requirements for obtaining a residency permit, but I still have a few questions to streamline the inevitable event!

1. Do you have to make your appointment at the police station in the neighborhood that you are moving to? Or will any police department do? There are more appointments available sooner in some of the smaller departments....

2. Can you apply for a 6 month permit? or is a year the minimum?

3. Does the address that you list on the online application have to be absolute, or can you amend the address during your appointment in person if needed?
