Turkish Work Permit procedures (Istanbul)

Hello,

I need to obtain a work permit in Turkey but I am an independent consultant so I've been told i need a 'bagimsiz calisma izin'. I tried looking at the Protected content website but there's not much info there.

Has anyone obtained this visa before that could tell me where to go? Are there any employment advisors/lawyers on Internations that can offer to process this for a fee?
