The fruitful companion between Anıl Eraslan and Sumru Ağıryürüyen since Protected content them to make many performances and concerts in various festivals. The unique meeting of the voice and the cello being not only a composition of this two instruments but also a various
texture of the ‘sound’ which can be more than itself, they made their first performance on the pedestrian bridge in Eminönü Square in İstanbul for Ismet Siral Creative Music Studio events in Protected content . After this event, they played in various festivals in Turkey and abroad. Together they are part of different projects with different musicians as well.
Sumru Ağıryürüyen-Anıl Eraslan duo’s first album, Sert Sessizler / Harsh Consonants based on a dialogue between voice and cello, has been released under the Baykuş Music label. On the axis of free improvisation, their music is travelling around simple melodies, noise, organic textures and rythmical structures. Besides, they are also interpreting some compositions and traditional tunes. Sert Sessizler / Harsh Consonants is also a first album of voice and violoncello released in Istanbul, becoming a center of attraction for free improvisation world recently.
