Warning on Taksim (Istanbul)

Police in Taksim, Istanbul, just surrounded the area again, jammed mobile phone and are gassing the area viciously. So their withdrawal has only been for a short time. Foreigners have been told by different officials here to leave Istanbul immediately. I was told this by a couple different people who are currently in Taksim but I haven't seen or heard it myself.
