Housing in Izmir

Hello everyone,
Can you give me some advice on where and how to look for an apartment. I am looking for a safe neighborhood with easy access to the city and some good places to eat nearby. Doesn't have to be posh just clean with air con for summer I'm hoping to spend around Protected content 600TL per month. Thanks in advance for your advice!! Laura
