Accomodation and schooling (Jakarta)

Hi, I am new to this forum and possibly new to Jakarta. We are hoping that we will be moving over early next year. I am looking at schools and would like to send my 5 year old to the British International School. If he gets a place would it be too far to travel from South Jakarta to the school each day and if so where would you suggest we look for accomodation? I littel bit of googling has led me to Tangerand, South BCD City, but would that be a long way from Pondok Indah as we don't want to be remote. Also we might have company accomodation in Pondok Indah, so then should we look at another school. Sorry this might be a little jumbled, I am finding this all very confusing!
