How to become a freelancer in Indonesia? (Jakarta)

Hi,

I have some problem to understand how to become a freelancer in Indonesia. I married an Indonesian last December and I got a 1-year KITAS in February Protected content visa). I know this visa does not let me work in Indonesia. I would like to become a freelancer (IT consultant) and get the right visa for that.

Do you know what type of visa I should request?

Since I want to be a freelancer, do I need the sponsorship of a company?
I have been told so. I do not understand this need since I will be my own boss. I will have to ask every client I have to sponsor me?
