Is it complicated to live in Indonesia by now ? (Jakarta)

Dear expat fellows,
Is it more difficult to live and work in Indonesia by now? why? what are the reasons?

I heard from some expats that :
1. Indonesia has changed.It is not a pleasant country like in the past, is it?
2. in the past many expats came in the easy way and illegally start their business. Now the consequences are for all other foreigners that want start in the legal way. is it getting more complicated for you (expat fellows)?
3. some countries near Indonesia are more interesting
4. etc, maybe you can share your experience here

if it is more difficult to live and work here because of the new rules for foreign people and many complicated things ,are you still interested to live here? at least to visit to Indonesia, my country....
