MILSAA Fundraising Campaign (Jakarta)

Dear Friends,

We write to ask for your support with a donation to the Melbourne Institute of Language Studies Aid Abroad annual fundraising campaign.

As an education-based charity in Jakarta, our mission is to provide English language training to disadvantaged groups to improve their education and employment opportunities for the future and encourage cross cultural exchange.

We currently partner with 7 local charities, teaching 15 classes per week to their staff and beneficiaries including street kids, refugees and orphans. Our students are eager to learn English, interact with people from different cultures and are lively and engaged during class.
We provide our volunteers with ongoing training and support so that they can teach high quality and fun classes. We also provide teacher training for all volunteers of our partner charities to build their capacity and skills in teaching. We cover the cost of transport for our volunteers and teaching resources including photocopying, books and stationary. We rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support to continue our program each year. Any donation or ongoing support would make a huge impact on the number of classes we are able to provide and to ensure we have the materials to make learning fun!
